Editorial Brand Guidelines
Workflow is a branded publishing platform from ServiceNow, providing thought leadership on IT transformation, security, and customer experience. I supported the publishing site from a content and design perspective for 2 years while working at Message Lab. I defined and built the editorial-specific brand guidelines, to ensure the site was properly delineated from the core ServiceNow brand. This included creating detailed header graphic treatments for multiple article types, defining the color palette, and establishing inset graphic treatments such as pull quotes, stats, and definition blocks. I’m lucky enough to have my fair share of designs, infographics, and illustrations published on the site.

Article hero art
Workflow published new feature articles weekly that required custom hero art. I was given access to early iterations of the articles, often before the title was locked. I’d concept on the visual direction of the hero, creating rough sketches and early prototypes. In collaboration with the writers and editors, a direction would be selected and refined for publishing. Then we’d do it again the next week.
